Do you ever have one of those days where you look in your closet and go “NOPE! I have nothing to wear today.” Well that happened to me the other day, where I just wasn’t feeling inspired and everything in my closet looked “BLAH” to me. In an effort to turn my little style funk around, I literally said to myself “keep it simple, Sarah”. The best way I know how to keep a look simple is to build your entire outfit with the one color that is most flattering on all; black. So I pulled out a simple black dress (cotton, easy to wash, and wear), black studded sandals, black leather jacket, sunnies and bag to complete the look and viola! I instantly felt chic and put together. Not to mention mentally ready to conquer the day! 🙂

Remember; keep it simple. Play off of a flattering color, keep the color palette basic and never take yourself too seriously or forget to have fun with fashion. It’s not supposed to be tormenting – it’s supposed to be fun, exciting, and a unique expression of your individuality.

How do you feel instantly chic or inspired when your closet feels a little “blah”? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by! XO – Sarah
