I love any outfit that incorporates some distressed denim – it adds that sort of “cool” factor to an otherwise normal, everyday look. However, it can be hard to work into a professional setting. If you work in an office environment you probably need to look put together, so throwing on a pair of torn up jeans simply won’t cut it (no pun intended).

However, if you work at a company where jeans are OKAY by the boss, here’s a simple style technique I use when pulling out my favorite pair of (majorly) distressed denim. Here I paired them with a classic, simple button up silk top and a similar colored, crisp, tailored jacket. I kept the hair simple in a messy bun and topped off the outfit with a cool pair of neutral suede wedges. I think that building out the outfit with simple, neutral pieces helps to tone down the distressing of the denim. The icing on the cake? Grabbing your favorite briefcase or over sized handbag to add that extra kick of PROfessional to your look. 🙂

Does your company allow you to wear denim to the office? Would you go this far with the distressed look too? I would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for stopping by and see you around the blog soon! XO – Sarah
